There are a few ways to use Young Living Essential Oils.
1. Inhale
Don’t underestimate the power of aromatherapy. By simply inhaling these essential oils, we are able to send healing benefits straight to our Limbic system (controls emotion and memory) using a direct pathway through our olfactory nerve (sense of smell). Just smelling these oils can elevate our mood.
2. Diffusing
Not only can you personally benefit from inhaling the aromas of the oils, but your entire family can as well. The diffuser disperses the oils into microfine vapors that exude all across the room. Not only will you benefit from the mood uplifting effects of the aromas, but some oils will help purify the air as well.
3. Rub on Topically
Our skin is the largest organ of our body with the ability to absorb things rapidly and release toxins as well. We can rub essential oils on topically to an affected site either neat (undiluted) or with the application of a carrier oil (organic coconut, grapeseed, olive, or vegetable oils). We can also apply to the bottoms of our feet to certain Vita flex points which sends signals to different affected areas of our body in need of repair.
Tip: Some oils are considered “spicy” oils and are used best in application with a carrier oil. These oils, for example oregano, create a “heat” sensation when applied neat due to the small molecules rapidly absorbing through our skin. When this heat sensation occurs, simply apply a carrier oil on top to ease the feeling.
4. Ingest

Most essential oil companies on the market use some sort of synthetic additive/filler to their oils. They are adulterated and unsafe to apply topically, much less ingest. You must educate yourself and know your company. We have done extensive research on this company and have grown to fully trust them.
There are a few ways that you can take these oils internally. It is very important that you educate yourself on which oils can be ingested because some simply work better through topical application. A common way to take the oils internally is to drop them in empty vegetable capsules. Other ways are to take them directly by mouth (VERY STRONG) or add them to juices, honey, agave syrup, almond milk, elderberry syrup, etc. Whichever way you prefer is okay.
